The Parents and Citizens Association encourages all parents, new and current, to take an active part in the children’s education. All parents are eligible to join the P&C and we welcome fresh energy and ideas to help build on the school’s success.
Functions of the P&C
The P&C at Graceville plays a vital role in the school.
Functions of the P&C include:
fostering general community interest in educational matters;
facilitating closer co-operation between parents, staff and students;
providing advice and recommendations to the Principal on issues and concerns in respect of students and the general operation and management of the School; and

Planning
The P&C participates in the school management committee and contributes to the annual school planning process. Through P&C Class Representatives and our regular P&C meetings, we facilitate communications with parents on planning progress and items of interest. We provide a significant annual financial contribution to the school budget, through a number of the fundraising activities including Spellathon, Trivia night and the annual School Fete. Other social functions are organised throughout the year to bring the school community together.
Support for Parents
The P&C also supports parents through a variety of services, such as the Tuckshop and the Uniform & Stationery Store. These are offered by the P&C to provide items at competitive prices for school families. Each year the P&C publishes a School Directory which lists children’s names by class, and their contact details. Inclusion in the directory is voluntary.
Meetings
The P&C meets once a term, usually on a Wednesday evening, from 7.30 pm – 9.30 pm. This is an excellent opportunity to meet and discuss school matters with other parents and our Principal. We hope to see you there.
