Graceville State School opened in 1928 and has a proud history of growth and achievement.  These achievements have been recognised at state, national and international level.  Our latest academic results are available on this site, while these results are outstanding, it is important to recognise that they are achieved through a school community working together.

As a school community, we recognise and value greatly students’ self awareness and self esteem.  At Graceville State School, our behaviour management program stems from a backbone of strong values.  The Pathways to Peace program supports our students from Prep to Year 6 and is reflected in all our activities. Pathways to Peace is highlighted and reflected through our school based ANZAC and Remembrance Day services, our fete, and Carols by Candlelight events and most importantly our day to day interaction with each other.

Excursions, co-curricular and extra curricular activities supplement a variety of teaching and learning experiences.  Upper year levels attend School Camp and most students in years 5 and 6 play competitive sport. Others are joined by Year 4 students in school-based sports.

Parents are a feature of Graceville State School and our parent body is active in all aspects of school life.  Parents are welcome to be involved in classrooms, tuckshop, fetes, school and P&C committees.  This commitment and partnership between parents and school demonstrates to the students the importance of learning.
